my roommate is a photographer.

So this weekend we decided to have some fun and have a photoshoot. My roommate Emily isn't in any of the pictures but she was behind the camera the whole time and they came out amazing. We had so much fun despite the 30 mph gusts of wind.
I will post more about this semester soon but I am swamped with classes, homework, my calling of being the activities co-chair, and of corse my thriving social life hahaha.

it's good to have GOOD friends.

These past few weeks I have been so grateful for the wonderful people that I have in my life. I was able to go and visit my sisters to see her dance in her Nationals competition at BYU. Emron also came to watch all of his friends so we all had some fun together. Thursday night of the competition, after it was over me, Kylie, Emron, Courtney, Karson and Betsy went to Dennys. I dont think I have laughed as much as I did that night in a long long time. I sure love these guys.

This is my "brother" Jason. Last semester we were FHE brother and sister and the brother and sister bit kind of stuck. We go to eachother for boy and girl advice and he has been the closest thing to a brother I have ever had.

Lara has always been there for me. Althought we have had our ups and downs lately I am sure we will stay best friends for a long time to come.

I miss all of my friends back at home, and especially my family. Just two short weeks till I am back in Turlock. Too bad I will only be there for about 12 days... sad. But I am looking forward to a fun and exciting summer semester! I have my dad's visit to look forward to which will be in 3 days!!! Ahhh I will make sure to post somemore pictures then. :D

Two Months TOO Long.

For presidents weekend I got to go visit home!!! It was one of the funnest weekends of my life! I love my family so so so much. I got in on thursday and just hung out that night. Then friday we set off on our weekend adventure. I was fun because we didn't really know exactly what we were going to do and just drove. We were driving through fairfield and decided to stop at the jelly belly factory! haha it was pretty fun.
Then we set off for Bodega Bay! Me and dad had the best clam chowder we have ever had in our lives. And even though dad has had more chowder in his life than i have we both aggreed it was the best. Saturday was valentines day and we drove to a few random places which I am sure NO ONE has eve heard of. It was a BLAST!
We drove up the the "cliffs" by Bodega Bay. They are beautiful and almost look like they could be Normandy!
We stopped in a tiny town to have BBQ oysters and look around.
After some exploring we got to go visit some of my favorite cousins, Chris and Brit, and their three boys ( who i swear never stop growing!) We went out to a Valentines dinner and had quite the night.
Sunday We drove to Napa Valley and Sonoma, which are both beautiful but it was raining the whole time. Kind of a bummer but it was still pretty to look at. Then we drove into Emeryville to see our good friend Emorn. Because it was sunday and not a working day we got to go see his work, Pixar. We were able to go back and see his office too!
This was definatly one of the best weekends I have had in a long time! I love my family so much!

we like to party.

I guess me and lara could be considered "rexburg socialites"... haha. I have not gone a weekend with out going out and, I'm not gonna lie, I love it! We have the best friends in the whole world.

Our friend Jacob hosted a dress up, "fine wine and cheese" party. We danced, played cards, watched horse racing, drank martinellies and ate cheese! so much fun!
Me, James, Marcus and Lara
Me, Tanner and Lara. He's our tag along and we love him!
Corey, Me, Steve and Lara.
Bret, Me Travis and Lara.
There is a dance club in the burg called Locus that my friend Juan owns, one day I was talking to Juan and he asked me if I needed a small side job, and of course me being still unemployed told him that I needed one so bad! So now me and lara are Locus girls... we get paid to promote the parties! it's kind of a cool job... small but cool.
This week was an 80's theme party!
Me and Lara with our employer Juan!
When we dress up... we go all out!
We went to a highlighter party... this is our friend dilan.

It's been an eventful semester so far! I love it!

my first real winter?

So I am finally updating! I have been a popsicle for about a month now and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I though rexburg was going to be the worst in winter but so far I am loving it even more that last semister! It helps to have my best friend lara here with me and our apartment is so much fun!
I kinda like living in the snow!

It's about time.

So Merry Late (very late) Christmas. I haven't written on here in so long. Not a ton happening here, just enjoying my last few days in good ol' turlock. I go back to my life on tuesday so that will be interesting.
I spent the first week of my break with my roomate at her house in Laguna Beach and loved every second of it. We went into LA for a few days and just relaxed on the beach and had some great food.
After it was time to come back from my little get-a-way it was already christmas eve. We had our family that was in town, the Stiles and the Gauthier famlies over. It was a blast like it always is. Christmas eve holds my favorite traditions!

Those Gauthier girls are adorable!

Christmas was a memorable one. I got a new phone some uggs for those cold rexburg winters, and much more. I loved spending the morning with the fam.

But again one of my favorite parts of the break was getting to babysit addie. haha we had a little photo shoot.

Kaite you can steal this picture. : )

Time Flys when your Having Fun!

I can't believe it has been a month sence I have written a post. So I have tons of things to fill all of you in on. First off, me and ty broke up about a week after my last post. He was getting very serious and if you know me I am all about having fun... i'm not quite ready to be a wife. : ) I have also been on quite a few dates sence we ended things and could not be any happier being single.

Three weeks ago I drove up to Utah to watch Kylie in her dancesport Competition. She was stunning in her dresses and did an amazing job. I got to spend time with her and mom while we stayed with Ky's friends Karson and Betsy. They were so much fun and we loved staying at their house.

A week later I was on a plane headed home for Thanksgiving! I got to come home thursday night, a few days eariler than I was going to thanks to my wonderful daddy. I spent lots of time with friends, catching up and just hanging out. But the most fun I had was with the family. We went to movies, hung out and took a quick trip to Carmel. Ky's friend Emron came and stayed with us for thanksgiving weekend and he was tons of fun! My mom has adopted him into the family. One thing I was extremely grateful for when I was home was that Mom was able to actually talk and found a really good doctor to take care of her throat. It had been killing me to not be able to hear her voice when I have been on my own.

Carmel with the Family and Emron.
One of the highlights of my trip home was getting to babysit addie. Thank you to Dianne for giving up some grandma time and letting me watch her! She is my favorite little girl.

Masquerade.

Ty and I went to a Masquerade Ball put on by his friends this weekend. We danced and had tons of fun. I didn't have a fancy mask so I made one out of make-up and Ty wore snowboarding goggles. the "prom" pose

Out my Window.

The Rexburg Temple is beautiful. I walked accross the street last week and took this picture, sorry it is crooked. The Lord is my neighbor.

Halloween Time!

This year my friends and I had some fun with our costumes... we decided to be a little bit religious but still funny. We dressed up as the "Six Bees" from Pres. Hinkley's be attitudes talk. Every one that saw us got a kick out of our costumes and, not to brag but, we looked pretty good. : ) I was Bee Clean. It was a good halloween but I definatly missed trunk-or-treating with Turlock second ward.Just missing one.

Home for the Houxs.

MOLLY AND MARK ARE MARRIED! and boy was it a beautiful wedding and reception. I have never seen a more classy and beautiful bride. She looked stunning in her "Sence and Sensibility" styled dress she had specially made. And i have never seen her more happy than when she and Mark walked out of the temple. I love them both and wish them the best in Ohio and on their exciting journey together.
